What is "UAI" *sounds like "why" in Portuguese?
- Well, It is an expression very common at Minas Gerais area, it can means anything!
UAI= yes/sim
UAI= nao/no
UAI=maybe/talvez
UAI... I don't know, I just saying that to get some time.

Usually, I ask: Is that uai yes, no or maybe?
- I heard once that this expression comes from English influence in the area when they were building the train track.. UAI (maybe).

If you like Michel Telo, you will like him! Mister Jorge Ben!

It should be a hard punishment for compare Jorge Ben Jor with Michel Telo.
I guess the best show I went in my whole life was performed by Jorge Ben Jor. He is make this amazing music that even the ones that don't dance in the room will be jumping at the end of his concert. Some lyrics are nonsense, some speak about girls... my favorite is Taj Mahal. My main regret in life is knowing that my former belgian boyfriend has a picture with him!

World Cup 2 - Tips for Curitiba

Curitiba is my hometown. The Atletico Arena is really close to my flat and I usually, went to the gym there. So, what I write here can have some emotional influence.
Well, they say Curitiba is safe but now I can say, I live better in Sao Paulo. The increase of kidnapping, stoles and homicides made me leave the city. So, I am not saying don't go. Just take extra care.
The city is amazing, I wrote a lot about it here.
Well, to stay you can stay in downtown and go by walking to the station. The rent in the area should had increased.
If you say in a place like Mabu, Slavieiro Rockfeller, even the cheaper one Formula 1. You can go by walking (I am speaking about walking, so.. no heals). Ibis hotel at Largo Sao Francisco or Downtown are medium price and can be good.
Camping there.... awful ideea. No place to do it, and it is very cold.
If you have questions about Curitiba, please write me. I enjoy it.

Brazilian World Cup Tip1 - tourism and travelers

I may not say a lot of Brazil today.
One day, my crazy french bitch friend told me the huge difference between doing tourism and being a traveller.

Tourism: you just believe in things write on the guides, by touristic information, you don't eat things you don't know, you don't speak with people. You took a lot of pictures but no real MEMORY. You my try sexual tourism in Brazil *going in jail for doing it with under age brazilians, but you don't visit a favela. You never my try the same night food that hookers and taxi drivers have because it seems unsafe. At the end, you have a lot of pictures and superficial view of the place. Some stories to tell at home, nothing touch your heart... Sad.

Traveller: well... think Marco Polo, the old fashion way to travel. I am not being nostalgic, ok maybe a little. First, interact with locals! Eat their food. Read the news about that country. Go to the places the locals visit during their free time. If necessary, dress like them. Try to be inside their culture. Some are close, but you have Couchsurfing to help. My personal sign, I win as a traveller is when I take a interest history from someone in a cultural different from mine.... not written in the Fodor's, Rough Guide (my favorite) or Lonely Planet (my former favorite). I got happy when a taxi driver told me the history of afro american taxi drivers in Washington as part of his life. I learn about History, Politics and Life!

Sometimes, you need to relax and be a tourist but be a traveller most of the time. You change and pictures you have from the place will still in you mind, even if someone steal your camera.

Choosing a hotel for stay in Brazil... during, before or after Soccer Games.

Well.. I am not sponsored for them, but I enjoy some of the hotels from "Roteiros do Charme" in several areas from North to South. The are charmed, most of the staff speaks English and they are not cheap too. They can not be really good for stay if you are interest is just enjoy the games and parties... but if you need a time to relax and romantic fellow traveller with you I strong advise one of the hotels from them.
I will marry with the guy who join me in all the hotels indicated in the website!!!

Good brazilian music! Finally!!!!

Well, after Michel Telo, Anitta and Piradinha, it is a relief talks about Vanessa da Mata: good female voice and full of personality.

Ben Harper knew it... Boa Sorte/Good Luck is about history of love with a bad final, but still soft and delicate... Write me if you are interest in the full transcription from Portuguese.

Just amazing!
